This small shelf exceeded expectations. I needed something to hold a lot of standard 3-ring binders and this shelf works perfectly. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up. As a bonus, the brown color matched the surrounding furniture almost exactly!Nice little bookcase. Easy to set up. Good looking tooBeautiful but not very sturdy.Great for organizing baskets but it must be light weight itemsbook storage.It is perfect.I now have 5 of these bookcases, and I absolutely love them. Take it out of the box, keep it tilted back away from you a little bit, swing the sides out and CAREFULLY lower the shelves (which are on hinges--they will crash down and hurt you if you don't tilt it back) and presto, you have a fully-assembled, attractive and perfectly usable bookcase. Although they do come with brackets to attach them to the wall if you want to (maybe if you have kids?), I have never felt the need--but I do put the heaviest books on the bottom shelves to improve their stability. Solid wood, great product at a great price.I love the color and fold down nature of these bookcases. I needed them for storing and organizing my food products as I have no pantry in my small studio condo. I am careful not to go over the weight limit of each shelf which stores a lot. (PLease see pictures) The baskets and other items are still under the weight limit but be carefull not to go over that and break a bracket. Be careful when opening them for the first time that the shelves don't fall down on their own as this could damage the brackets.This is a value object in that it is not the sturdiest but for the price, the value is good and it is sufficiently sturdy. One of the shelves was not assembled correctly in the factory but that was easily corrected. The design was very easy to assemble. I liked the hinged shelf design. That further facilitated assembly. We have had it assembled and being used by my teenager for a month or so now and it is working well.Many DIY kits are hard to assemble or wobble when assembly is over. The bookcases are better than the six I bought 5 years ago from another supplier. The hardest thing is to unwrap the the protective gear. You stand up the bookshelves and lower each shelf into place. There are holes under the shelf that fit into metal pieces on the side panels. Be sure to wipe down with some oil after set up. This is a good piece of furniture.Not bad..portable is the quality i looked for and this does the work..but the wood is not of good quality..
