Arrived 2 weeks earlier than estimated - I like that.Plus: you can stain or paint to meet your need. Perfect to hold/display Knick-knacks. Being 36” long, one could shorten if needed.Negative: a bit pricey for cheap pine shelves, but once painted or stained and on the wall, who cares. I did not expect oak or mahogany, but a better quality of wood for the price would be nice….. or a lower price.These shelves were exactly what I was looking for in a sense. They looked exactly how I wanted, including color! However, they came completely unfinished, which is not what I expected (as in no protective coat, just 100% raw wood). If you’re looking for shelves to stain though, these would be perfect.Just moved in and am working on putting our living room together. These photos ledges were the answer. They were easy to stain in our color choice and hang. I used 2 in one room and the other one in my guest room. Would definitely purchase again!These great little shelves fit perfectly into the small space I had and helped clear up the area for me.I needed something to keep the makeup bag off the back of the toilet in this small bathroom. It works great.Love the way these look, once installed they seem very sturdy. The installation process was far too difficult though! The anchors provided are very cheap, crumble when you attempt to follow the directions so we kinda did our own thing by drilling wall holes and making the pre drilled holes in the shelves larger. Luckily one of our screws landed in a stud, which made me feel a little better about the sturdiness and let us avoid the use of an anchor at all since we destroyed a couple in the trial and error process anyway. We ultimately used a 1/4” drill bit, drilled walled holes and made the shelf holes large with the same bit. We attempted to insert the anchor as instructed but if it gave any we stopped and just started installing the screw, ultimately sturdying the anchor and securing to the wall all in one fair swoop! Definite headache and not made for someone who doesn’t have much experience with anchors, hanging shelves, etc.I liked that they had different sizes.I needed to lightly sand mine and stain it. The wood is completely unfinished. There is usually some sort of topcoat or varnish on items like this, but these came unfinished with little splinters poking off of them in places. Since I had some stain and topcoat on hand, I was able to finish them without too much trouble. I would have been much more upset otherwise. They seem sturdy enough to hold my kids' books, but I'm not sure how long they will last. They don't seem very sturdy, and the wood is extremely soft. I actually dented one of them with the screwdriver while I was trying to mount it.
